Peter Wetzig has formal governance (Fellow, Governance Institute of Aust [FGIA], Fellow, the Chartered Governance Institute [FCG] and a Chartered Governance Professional), financial (Fellow, Chartered Accountants Aust and NZ [FCA] and a member of the Financial Executives Institute) and legal (admitted as Barrister, Qld & HC of A and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel) qualifications and has occupied both corporate and operational financial, legal, compliance and risk management, and governance roles.
Peter Wetzig is a specialist in advising boards of directors and C-level management in respect of directors' legal duties, corporate governance/compliance risk management and financial management practices and is at the cutting edge of contemporary corporate governance development with listed as well as unlisted corporate entities.
Peter Wetzig has also occupied corporate inhouse roles such as Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Commercial, in ASX and NASDAQ listed companies. In these roles Peter drew on skills acquired previously as cost and budget accountant, branch accountant, project and capital assets accountant and project evaluation in manufacturing, distribution, marketing environments as well as developing technology and Not for Profit organisations.
Peter Wetzig brings more than 35 years experience as a corporate executive and consultant using his corporate governance, legal knowledge and financial management within the high technology and manufacturing sectors including ASX, NASDAQ and ASSOB listed public companies and Not-for-Profit organisations.
